Missing Clayton County woman found

A Mattie’s Call was canceled Friday afternoon after a missing 53-year-old Clayton County woman was found.

Donna Sue Allgood had last been seen Thursday around 8 a.m. from the area of Royce and Attleboro drives in Jonesboro, Clayton County police said.

Information was not released on how and where she was found.

Atlanta police seek alleged armed robber

Atlanta police need the public’s help identifying a man they say robbed a pedestrian Aug. 18 at  gunpoint.

The victim told police he was walking in the 300 block of Cherokee Avenue that evening when he was approached by two men in a car and another who was on foot. The man who was not in the vehicle stole the victim’s wallet after threatening to shoot.

The victim was not harmed and was able to leave the scene.

Missing Austell woman, 70, returns home

A Mattie’s Call was canceled late Tuesday afternoon for a 70-year-old Austell woman.

Andrea Jordan had last been seen by a family member around 11:30 a.m., Cobb County police said.

Later in the afternoon, she returned home in the family car, police said.

Mattie’s Call cancelled for 78-year-old man

UPDATE: Francisco Jose Garcia was located in good condition by Fulton County police at a gas station in his car about 18 hours after he was last seen by family members.

ORIGINAL REPORT: Cobb police are looking for a 78-year-old man who was last seen in Austell.

Francisco Jose Garcia was last seen Thursday about 6:30 a.m., in the 3000 block of Sweet Flag Run, and his direction of travel is unknown. He is thought to be in a black 1995 Isuzu Rodeo, with Georgia plate AUR4001.

Garcia is described as 5-foot-7, with brown eyes and mostly bald with brown and gray hair. [More]

Mattie’s Call canceled for Paulding man, 79

A 79-year-old Paulding County man missing since Wednesday night has been found.

Authorities issued a Mattie’s Call on Thursday night for Preston Boyd Perren, who was last seen about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Powder Mill Drive in Dallas.

Perren was located in Crossville, Tenn., Paulding sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. Ashley Henson said in an emailed statement just after 8:15 a.m. Friday.

“Perren was safe and is in the process of being reunited with his family,” Henson said.

Missing 65-year-old Cobb woman found

A 65-year-old Cobb County woman reported missing Thursday night has been found, authorities said Friday.

Authorities had issued a Mattie’s Call for Janice Whitted, who had last been seen on Pete Shaw Road in Marietta. Her family thought she was going to Town Center Mall.

She had spoken with her family since leaving, but they said she sounded confused and unaware of her location, which was the area of Crossville, Tennessee, Cobb police said. Her credit card was used in Monticello, Kentucky, earlier in the day, they said.

Missing Clayton County woman, 54, found

A Mattie’s Call was cancelled Thursday night for a 54-year-old Clayton County woman who had been reported missing.

Rebecca Ruth Tillman had last been seen around 2 p.m. on Scott Drive in Conley, police said.

No information was released on how she was found.

Henry County ATM targeted by ID thief

Authorities are investigating after a SunTrust bank ATM in Henry County was compromised.

Information from customers who used the ATM at 942 Highway 81 East in McDonough on Aug. 1 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m may have been exposed to a copying data device and a hidden camera , Henry County police said.

Investigators said 225 customers have been affected.

Customers should check their accounts and notify the bank immediately if they notice any irregularities. They should also report any fraudulent activity to their local law enforcement agency or the Henry County police at 770-288-8200.

Powder Springs man sought in connection with Hiram carjacking

Hiram police are looking for a man who is accused of destroying a woman’s cell phone before stealing her car.

Police say on Aug. 8, Zachary Ryan Shipp approached a woman who was pumping gas at a convenience store on Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway and asked to borrow her cell phone. The woman said shortly after she gave Shipp the phone, he threw her Samsung Galaxy III on the ground. Missing Atlanta woman found safe

UPDATE: Chelsey Lyons was found safe Tuesday morning, according to Atlanta police.

ORIGINAL: The Atlanta police have issued a missing persons alert for an 18-year-old woman last seen around 9 p.m. Monday night walking away from an apartment on Jonesboro Road.

Police said Chelsey Lyons has a history of wandering off. In this instance they don’t know what direction she headed when she left an apartment in the 2900 block of Jonesboro Road.

The police lookout bulletin said while Lyons has diminished mental capacity she is able to ask for help.  She is described as 5-foot-5 and weighing 130 pounds.
