DeKalb County’s Rockbridge Elementary School was put on lockdown this morning after a boy caught climbing into the school through a window said he was being chased by someone with a gun, according to police.
But DeKalb police Capt. Stephen Fore told Channel 2 Action News that there are inconsistencies in the boy’s story.
DeKalb schools spokesman Quinn Hudson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the campus on Halwick Way near Stone Mountain was placed on lockdown around 11:10 a.m.
The school remained on lockdown about an hour later while school resource officers investigated the boy’s claims.
