Gwinnett woman, 77, found safe in South Georgia

A Mattie’s Call has been canceled for a 77-year-old Gwinnett County woman.

Shirley Jean Ingall was last seen about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of Trestlebrook Way in Buford. At the time, Gwinnett police believed she may have driven from Buford to Stone Mountain in a silver 2014 Chrysler Town & Country Van with GA license plate PJR5428.

But Ingall was found Thursday night in Tifton — more than 200 miles south of Buford. Authorities previously said Ingall is easily confused.

“She is fine and has returned home to her family,” the Gwinnett police department said in an emailed statement.
