Atlanta police seek alleged armed robber

Atlanta police need the public’s help identifying a man they say robbed a pedestrian Aug. 18 at  gunpoint.

The victim told police he was walking in the 300 block of Cherokee Avenue that evening when he was approached by two men in a car and another who was on foot. The man who was not in the vehicle stole the victim’s wallet after threatening to shoot.

The victim was not harmed and was able to leave the scene.

A sketch of one of the suspects has been released by Atlanta police. Anyone who recognizes the man in the picture should call 911 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
